- OA BK- 309L Mo

Welding Wire OA BK 309L Mo

OA 309L Mo is Used for joining stainless steel and difficult to weld steels and joining Cr/Ni/Mo steels with low carbon content (C<0.03%). Very good corrosion resistance. High strength and creep resistance at high temperatures. High fluidity. Regular and beautifully formed beads. Excellent X-ray quality.

Applications

Joining stainless steel and difficult to weld steels, Cr-Mo steel, high carbon containing steel, Mo-containing steels. Joining stainless steel to mild steel.

Instruction:

Weld with low heat input.

Use a stick-out (distance from the contact tip to the extremity of the wire) of 20 to 50 mm (1-2") for open arc welding.

For a correct wire feed, use appropriate drive rolls for cored wire in the wire feeder and a water-cooled torch that is smoothly inclined.

Open arc welding Stick-out: 30 - 40 mm (1,18 - 1,57") Wire feed: 5m/min (197"per min) Remove all worn-out material. Preheat high carbon and low alloyed steel. When welding manganese steels, the temperature should remain below 300 °C (570 °F).

Remove all cracks and fatigued metal by grinding. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned from oil and grease
